Hello! My name is Ms. Ebony and
I’d like to welcome you to our ELC English Immersion Class. I am the Kindergarten teacher here at HJIS, and I m delighted to be working with your
child this summer.
Let me tell you a bit about myself： I am from New York, USA. I have lived in the United Arab
Emirates and in Ghana before moving here to Japan. My passion is early childhood education and I have been teaching for 10 years. I love
to travel and to learn about
different cultures. I am so delighted to be in Japan and to call both Sendai and Horizon my home for the past 4+ years.
This week we will explore Under the Sea as our thematic unit of inquiry. Throughout the week we will
learn about the ocean and the wonderful creatures who live there through
various activities, crafts, songs and games.

こんにちは！私の名前はエボニーです。英語イマージョン総合クラスへようこそ！私はホライゾンジャパインインターナショナルスクール仙台校で、Kindergarten（年長）クラスの担任をしています。このサマースクール期間中、お子様と一緒に過ごせることをとても嬉しく思っています。
私自身のことを少し紹介させてください。私はアメリカのニューヨーク出身です。日本に来る前は、アラブ首長国連邦に住んでいました。幼児期のこどもたちへの教育に、10年以上、熱意をもって取り組んできました。旅行や、様々な文化を知ることが大好きです。来日してから４年以上が経ち、仙台やホライゾンのことを私のホームと呼べるぐらいの時間を過ごしてきました。
サマースクール第一週目の今週は、「Under the Sea （海の中の世界）」をテーマに活動に取り組みます。一週間を通して、工作や歌、ゲーム等の様々な活動を通して、海や海にすむ生き物のことを学びます。
この一週間が楽しさで溢れるものになりますように！
